Hieromonk Jacob (Vladimir Yuryevich Vorontsov) was deprived of his holy orders for canonical violations

His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Rus' approved the decision of the Astana and Alma-Ata diocese church court of the Kazakhstan Metropolitan District on the defrocking of Hieromonk Jacob (Vladimir Yuryevich Vorontsov), born on February 20, 1986, who was previously banned from the priesthood.

The diocesan court, on the basis of 25 rules of the Holy Apostles, 16 rules of the First Ecumenical Council, 18 rules of the IV Ecumenical Council, 34 rules of the Trullo Council, recognized that Hieromonk Jacob (Vorontsov) was subject to canonical punishment in the form of demotion from the priesthood.
