Celebrations dedicated to the Hieromartyr Methodius, Bishop of Petropavlovsk, took place in the capital of Northern Kazakhstan

February 17, 2024 is the day of remembrance of the holy martyr Methodius, Bishop of Petropavlovsk and Akmola; celebration in honor of the Council of the New Martyrs of Petropavlovsk.

Archbishop Vladimir of Petropavlovsk and Bulaevsk led the celebrations on the occasion of the patronal feast in the Methodius Church in the city of Petropavlovsk.

Before the start of the service, a prayer service was served.

His Eminence was co-served by: the secretary of the diocesan administration, Archpriest Sergius Pervushin, Archimandrite Savva (Mazhuko), Deacon Vladimir Bartol, Deacon Alexey Alexandrovich and the clergy of the Petropavlovsk Diocese.

The hymns of the Liturgy were performed by the bishop's choir under the direction of regent A.A. Zatai

The archpastor offered prayers for the rise of love and the eradication of all hatred and malice.

At the end of the Liturgy, glorification took place - the hierarch, clergy, choir and parishioners sang the troparion, kontakion and magnification of the saint of God.
