Congratulations from the Head of the Metropolitan District on the Day of Unity of the People of Kazakhstan

May 1, 2025 is the Day of Unity of the People of Kazakhstan. The head of the Orthodox Church of Kazakhstan, Metropolitan Alexander of Astana and Kazakhstan, congratulates the residents of the country on the holiday:

This bright spring holiday, symbolizing the unity, friendship and solidarity of the people inhabiting our country, has become one of the most significant in Kazakhstan.
For centuries, the vast expanses of the Great Steppe have preserved the traditions of peaceful coexistence of representatives of various ethnic groups and religions. And at present, our country continues to be an example of interfaith and interethnic harmony.
In one of his addresses, the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Kemelevich Tokayev noted: "The key achievements of our country became possible thanks to the cohesion, friendship and solidarity of representatives of all ethnic groups that make up the single people of Kazakhstan. Such enduring values as peace and public accord are the basis of the strategic course of modern Kazakhstan." The Orthodox Church, which, along with traditional Islam, has made a significant contribution to the historical development and cultural heritage of the Republic, continues to carry out its noble mission, contributing to the preservation and strengthening of peace and prosperity in our common home - blessed Kazakhstan.

On this festive day, I wish all Kazakhstanis good health and success in their work, peace and prosperity.
