A meeting of the diocesan council of the Karaganda diocese was held

September 16, 2024. Karaganda. A regular meeting of the diocesan council of the Karaganda diocese was held in the building of the diocesan administration under the chairmanship of Archbishop Sebastian of Karaganda and Shakhty.

The meeting was attended by: Secretary of the diocesan administration Archpriest Dimitry Patrikeyev, deans of church districts Archpriest Alexander Ugolkov and Archpriest Vladimir Freygang, head of the department for interaction between the Church and society Hieromonk Moses (Patrikeyev), head of the department of religious education and catechesis Archpriest Akhiya Rakhimzhanov, rector of the Michael the Archangel Cathedral in Karaganda Priest Alexander Podkova.

Before the start of the work, His Eminence announced to the members of the council the agenda of the upcoming meeting concerning current issues of the life of the diocese.

The council members exchanged views on improving the activities of spiritual and educational work in the parishes, and the current activities of the diocesan departments were analyzed.

At the end of the meeting, Bishop Sebastian thanked those gathered and gave everyone an archpastoral blessing.
