The Holy Fire descended in the Church of the Holy Sepulcher in Jerusalem

May 4, 2024. Holy Land. On Most Blessed Saturday, the descent of the Holy Fire took place in the Church of the Holy Sepulcher in Jerusalem.

Thousands of pilgrims from different countries, including the delegation of the Kazakhstan Metropolitan District, witnessed the miracle, which has been repeated for centuries on the eve of Easter in the main Christian shrine - the Church of the Holy Sepulcher.

The pilgrim group of the Orthodox Church of Kazakhstan, which prayed at biblical shrines during Holy Week, with the blessing of Metropolitan Alexander of Astana and Kazakhstan will deliver lamps with the Holy Fire to our country.

In Almaty, the meeting of the Holy Fire will take place on the day of the Holy Resurrection of Christ, May 5, before the start of the Great Easter Vespers, which will be celebrated by the Head of the Kazakhstan Metropolitan District in the Ascension Cathedral.

The service begins at 17:00.
